Will I have trouble if I do not speak French?

While French is the official language of Quebec, you will not have any problem speaking English. It is the first language for many Montrealers and for the most part everyone in the city speaks English, especially in all downtown bars, clubs, stores, and hotels. You will find almost everything including restaurant menus written in both English and French. Montreal is truly inviting to English tourists and everyone makes their best effort to speak English!
